Fierce Carbon Mini Rogue XP 6.5 PRC 20-Inch Rifle, Smoked Bronze / Sonora Ambush Camo Adj C

Idaho hunters climb, and every ounce counts when you are hiking a ridge for elk or glassing mule deer across sage hills. The Fierce Mini Rogue family keeps weight down with carbon and is built for youth, women and smaller-framed hunters. It suits a teenager's first deer hunt in the Treasure Valley foothills as well as a long walk into the timber up north.

Mini Rogue rifles use carbon fiber stocks with a shorter length of pull and an adjustable comb or push-button cheek piece. The XP, Mini Rogue 2 and CT models add Fierce C3 carbon fiber barrels, and the CT Mini Rogue XP weighs about six pounds. 6.5 Creedmoor and 7mm-08 Remington cover deer and pronghorn, while 6.5 PRC and 308 Winchester give a bit more for elk.

Carbon Mini Rogue XP means a C3 carbon fiber barrel on the Fierce dual-lug action, a TriggerTech Primary ProCurve trigger and an improved integral adjustable comb.

6.5 PRC takes the 6.5 mm bullet faster than the Creedmoor for more reach on elk and mule deer, at the cost of a little more recoil. 6.5 PRC recoils more than the Creedmoors; for a first season most young hunters do better with 6.5 Creedmoor.

This rifle has a 20 in barrel. Finish: Smoked Bronze / Sonora Ambush Camo Adj C.

On a steep slope, a shooter needs to get on the scope fast, and a stock that is too long slows that down. Pick the shorter length of pull so the rifle comes up naturally. Raise the comb until the eye meets the scope without searching. A young Idaho hunter should learn on a 6mm or 6.5 Creedmoor before moving to a 6.5 PRC or 308 for elk.
