The Benelli Super Black Eagle 3 in 20 gauge is a semi-automatic shotgun with a 28-inch barrel, a 3-inch chamber and a 3+1 capacity. It weighs 5.9 pounds and measures 49 inches overall, with a 14 3/8-inch length of pull. The Multicam buttstock and forend sit on a flat dark earth receiver and barrel, and the Advanced Impact barrel pairs with a CRIO choke system. The bead sight, manual safety and ComforTech 3 stock complete the setup, which is a limited-production configuration.

The lighter 5.9-pound weight suits shooters who want a 20 gauge with a 3-inch chamber for waterfowl and upland work. Idaho sets deer and elk seasons by game management unit, so the unit you hunt in decides the dates. Pattern testing with your chosen load before opening day is a practical step, since the barrel and choke are built for dense patterns.
