The CZ 557 was built from the ground up by CZ for the express use as a hunting rifle. This bolt action rifle utilizes a push-feed bolt mechanism with a plunger-type ejector and short extractor. The CZ 557 also includes a fully-adjustable trigger that breaks at 3.5 pounds out of the box. A two-position safety and a cold hammer-forged barrel round out the features universal to the CZ 557s.

Anchored in a newly-designed walnut stock it has a healthy palm swell laser-cut stippling and a flat forend.
