FFL Transfers
Idaho Gun Shop is a licensed Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer based in Boise, Idaho. We offer professional FFL transfer services for firearms purchased from other dealers or online retailers.
Transfer Process
- Contact us at (208) 378-1600 or email [email protected] before purchasing to confirm we can receive your transfer
- Provide the selling dealer with our FFL information — we will fax or email our license directly to them
- The selling dealer ships the firearm to our FFL
- We will contact you when the firearm arrives (typically within 3-5 business days)
- Visit our location to complete ATF Form 4473 and undergo the NICS background check
- Upon approval, take possession of your firearm
Transfer Fees
- Standard Transfer: $25 per firearm
- Multiple Firearms: $25 first firearm, $15 each additional (same transaction)
- NFA Items: $50 per item (suppressors, SBRs, etc.)
Requirements
- Valid government-issued photo ID (Idaho driver’s license or ID card)
- Must be 21 years or older for handgun transfers
- Must be 18 years or older for long gun transfers
- Must pass NICS background check
- Idaho residents only for handgun transfers (federal law)
Idaho Gun Laws
Idaho is a constitutional carry state — no permit is required to carry a concealed firearm for Idaho residents aged 18 and older. Idaho has no state-level restrictions on magazine capacity, suppressors, or semi-automatic firearms. All federal laws still apply.
